Welcome to Altius! We're committed to ensuring you have the best experience possible. Below, you'll find a series of commonly asked questions, along with some details about our facility. Can't find what you're looking for? Feel free to reach out to our staff, and we'll be happy to provide the answers you need. We're excited to welcome you to the Altius Family!

Is there parking on site? Yes, we have ample and accessible parking in our shared plaza. We also have parking behind the building if the front parking lot is overflowing.

Are there lockers, showers, towels? Yes, we have several lockers and cubbies in which to store your personal items, Additionally, we have a shower and offer complimentary towel service (and body wash/shampoo/conditioner), but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

Do you have Open Gym Options? We are not an open gym concept and all Altius workouts are performed under the instruction of our elite training staff via classes, team sessions, or private/semi-private training.

Altius Floor

Do I need to be “in-shape” to start? You do not need to be in perfect shape to start at Altius, but you do need to be ready to fully buy-in to the process! We will always meet you where you are at and gradually build up from there. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or someone who’s recently been more sedentary, we will devise a program suited to your current fitness level. The journey to fitness is personal, and it’s not about comparing yourself to others but rather about improving your own health and well-being. The goal is to leave our facilty a better athlete and person than you were when you walked in the door.

Is running involved? We do a lot of running and sprint work! Considering that most sports require this, we will often include speed mechanics and running into our workouts. Even for those sports that do not specifically require running, the body mechanics and awareness taught within speed work will often be translatable, and regardless of sport, will likely make an appearance in our programming.

Are we like cross-fit? No, we are a sports-performance focused gym. Some elements within a session may look similar to those seen in cross-fit and many will not. Our goal is and will always be to build strength, power and efficiency into sport-specific movement patterns.

Do you charge for last minute cancellations? We do charge for any cancellations within 24 hours of any scheduled session. We completely understand that life can sometimes throw unexpected challenges your way and make it difficult to adhere to scheduled commitments. Our schedule (and our trainers’ paychecks) directly depend on a cohesive schedule. Our cancellation policy exists to ensure fairness and efficiency for our staff and all our members. If you find yourself unable to attend a session, we kindly ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to accommodate others who may be on a waitlist or rearrange schedules accordingly. While we strive to be flexible and understanding of extenuating circumstances, consistent adherence to our cancellation policy ensures the smooth operation of our services and respect for fellow members’ time.

What if I can’t commit to a monthly plan? We totally understand. We will also offer drop-in and punch card package options as well and you can use these whenever it fits in your schedule.

Do you offer insurance reimbursement? Unfortunately, we do not offer insurance rembursement and are a cash-pay operation for physical therapy. We will not have any direct contact with any insurance companies regarding documentation or billing. Cash pay does offer many benefits, however, including holistic treatment of a patient vs only being able to address a single body part on a claim. Additionally, clients can access all notes taken within a session and can personally submit these towards an insurance claim.

Can I try before I buy? Absolutely, WE encourage it! We understand that training at Altius is an investment and want to make sure we are the right fit for you. We currently offer Altius Adult First Week Free and Free initial assessments for private training.

Is there a “couple’s rate”? We do not have a “couple’s rate”. Our pricing is highly comparable to many of our competitors, especially considering the qualifications and expertise of our training staff.

How often do you recommend attending class? How quickly do you want results? Consistency is key. If you buy in to the process, and make our classes a consistent priority in your schedule, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS.

Are kids allowed? Yes of course! Kids are always allowed, as long as they are not a distraction to a class/group.
