MEET THE TEAM
Altius Performance owner Matt Yegge graduated from the University of Colorado in 2008, where he played football and studied mathematics and secondary education. Matt's passion to teach, coach and work with others, combined with his love for sports, drove a career in health and fitness. After a shoulder injury ended his college football career, Matt took a job training at a commercial health club, where he worked to earn club management roles and master trainer certification. Here he found his niche in working with athletes and was inspired to start his own sports performance business. Altius Performance was established in 2013 when Matt and his family moved to Stillwater, MN with the opportunity to be near family while Matt attended physical therapy school. Matt graduated with a doctorate degree in physical therapy from St. Catherine University in 2018.
Since 2007, Matt has coached, trained and rehabilitated thousands of athletes, including Olympian, professional, collegiate, and youth athletes. Matt has worked with IAM’s ACL return-to-sport program and has presented his research on lower extremity movement mechanics and ACL risk factors.
Outside of the gym, Matt’s time is spent with his wife Danielle, and his children, Cooper (15) and Oakley (11), most often at the dozen's of out-of-state sports tourneys in which his kids participate. Matt also enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing guitar around a bonfire, boating and yard games.
Tristan Turner graduated from the University of Northwestern - St. Paul in 2019, where he majored in Kinesiology and played DIII lacrosse. Prior to receiving his Bachelor’s degree, Tristan’s passion for performance and fitness was discovered in his own weight loss journey. After leaving the military, Tristan fell into a lifestyle of unhealthy eating habits and inactivity causing continual weight gain. Needing a change, Tristan worked to adopt healthy eating and regular exercise into his life and went back to school at Saint Paul College to become a massage therapist and personal trainer.
With hard work and determination Tristan lost 50 pounds, graduated with an Associate’s degree in personal training, and was certified in massage therapy. Wielding his life experiences from the military, collegiate athletics, and several years of training in general population fitness, Tristan enjoys working with all ages of athletes and adults seeking to enrich their lives with fitness.
Outside of Altius, Tristan enjoys spending time with his wife Shannon and his son Theo, friends and family, coaching lacrosse, and exploring the great outdoors.

Kollin’s journey is a testament to the power of dedication and training the right way. When he first came to Altius, he was a 100-pound athlete searching for direction. Through years of disciplined work and a commitment to mastering what works, he transformed into a 180-pound collegiate basketball player. Along the way, he became one of the top three-point shooters and scorers in the state, setting school records for three-pointers made and shooting percentage. More importantly, he learned how to lead a team—helping guide his high school program rise from the bottom of the conference to a championship season, a school record for wins, and a third-place state finish his senior season.
At Altius, Kollin has a passion to help athletes elevate their game by focusing on the often-overlooked fundamentals that separate good players from elite ones. He specializes in developing hand-eye coordination, core strength, basketball-specific movement, jump training, skill development, and leadership on and off the court. With firsthand experience of what it takes to transform potential into performance, Kollin is passionate about guiding athletes to unlock their own next level.
Danielle is passionate about growing communities and expanding Altius’ vision of excellence in sports and wellness. She brings her experience from over a decade in fitness and expertise as in business development to help operations run smoothly and maintain our strong sense of culture that makes Altius so unique. She integrates the communication between our clients, trainers and new connections to give you the best experience on and off the turf.
When she’s not at Altius, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family in the St. Croix Valley, serving on the creative team at her church or reading a good book by the river.
